Inpatient Services

Discharge Planning, Pastoral / Spiritual Care, Social Work, and Palliative Care Volunteers are available to all inpatients to assist patients in their transition towards optimal health status.  Additional health professionals such as physiotherapy, a dietitian, etc., may be involved in your care as well, depending on your needs.

NORTH Network Telehealth Clinic

In Januaryof 2005 the Hospital was linked into NORTH Network, the Northern Ontario Remote Telecommunication Health Network.  This Network is a Telehealth program that provides medical specialists, consultations, continuing health education and patient education to rural and remote areas in Ontario using two-way television.  The main benefits include helping patients gain access to medical specialists and reducing the need to travel to receive care.  In July of 2006, North Network was assigned to the new Ontario Telehealth Network.  To find out if you can save yourself some travel time call the Telehealth Coordinator at 848-7182, ext. 2401.
